Follow up consultations are usually for 30 minutes held every few weeks although may take a bit longer in special cases. If you're a returning patient you'd be asked to spend 45-60 minutes on your first return consultation, depending on how long it's been since I last saw you and what's been going on in the meantime.

Acute Problems

Acute but minor illnesses such as colds, 'flu, sprains etc can be seen at reduced cost without the need for a full consultation. Please ring for details.

What's included in the consultation fee?

Expert assesment of your health from a trained and experienced Herbalist.
Dispensing of a tailor-made prescription to address your needs at the time. Medicine costs extra but there's no dispensing fee for regular patients.
Additional time spent researching your case if necessary. If I need to discuss your case with a colleague your name and any other personal details about will be kept confidential.
Letters to Doctors etc with your permission and only as necessary.
Some follow-up support if you need advice between consultations. Please ring between 12 and 1pm or 6.30 and 8pm.

What do I need to bring to my first consultation?

It would be really helpful if you could bring with you:

Any medication you're currently on, including vitamins and supplements.
Copies of any correspondence or test results regarding your health.
A diary of what you've eaten over 3 consecutive days (ideally 2 weekdays and a weekend)

Medicines £6.00 per 100ml

Around 95% of my herbs are organically grown in the UK, and my aim is to support small scale producers wherever possible. Only the highest quality of medicines are used, ensuring you receive the best possible treatment. Medicines usually cost about £1.00 per day for an adult, although sometimes additional treatments such as creams or capsules may cost extra. Please tell me if you’re on a tight budget and I’ll do my best to help.

Costs for Children

It's often much quicker to hold a consultation for a child, so the consultation fees are less. For children upto the age of twelve, the consultation fee is £35.00 based on it lasting 45 minutes. Follow-up consultations are £25.00 for 30 minutes. Children’s medicine is usually cheaper because they use less of it!. Costs are proportionate to the adult dosage so will depend on the patient's size and the severity of their condition.

Rei-Ki £40.00 per 1 hour session

Every 5^th session is free.

How to find me

Walking / Metro:When you come out of Sale Metro Station turn left and continue walking through the pedestrian area to the main road (Washway Road). Cross the road and carry on into Ashton Lane, across the roundabout, and take the first right into Park Road. Whitefield Road is the first road on the left, and Haigh Lea is just past the church on the right hand side (on the corner of Carlton Road). It should take about 10 - 15 minutes.

All treatments are held in complete confidence.

Disabled Access

There are a few steps up to the front door followed by a flight of stairs down into the therapy rooms. Please let me know in advance if this is likely to cause you a problem.

Concessions & Bartering

Concessionary rates are available in special circumstances. Please ask for details. A bartering agreement can sometimes be used as a way of paying for part or all of your treatment, on an hour-for-hour basis.

Ethics and the Environment

'Herb miles' are kept to a minimum as most of my dispensary is formed of medicines produced in the UK. I usually buy my medicines as part of a bulk order with other local herbalists to keep packaging and road travel down. The majority of my tinctures are made with love by small scale organic producer in Kent, as I prefer to support smaller businesses wherever possible. Those which are not grown in the UK are carefully sourced and endangered plants are never used. I ask for all medicine bottles to be returned so that they can be washed and reused, and those which cannot be reused are recycled.

Cancellation & No-Show Policy

I charge the full consultation fee for cancellations at less than 48 hours notice, or failing to arrive for appointments. This is because I work to the same terms with the therapy rooms and need to allow sufficient time to rebook other patients.

VAT is not chargeable.
